The Color-Full Sea is one of the five great seas visited in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. It is unlocked when Mario and Luigi defeat the Gobblick in the Great Lighthouse Island of the Lushgreen Sea. The Color-Full sea is at the southwestern section of the map, south of the Lushgreen Sea, west of the Brrrning Sea, and southwest of the Gulchrock and Stormstar Seas.
Locations
Major Islands
The Color-Full Sea has four islands drifting throughout its waters.
- Desolatt Island: This island contains a town buried partially in sand, with debris littering the area. The IDLE gang lives here.
- Merrygo Island: This island is dominated by a large, circular maze. Its theme is a carnival. It is unlocked after linking Desolatt Island. Technikki lives here.
- Lottacoins Island: This island contains another city, though this is more advanced than the town on Desolatt Island. Its city led to Concordia's economic boom. It can be visited after linking Merrygo Island and beginning a decoy mission. This is the only island where Luigi lands first.
- Allsand Island: This island is a desert with large reservoirs of resources such as oil. It can be visited after linking Lottacoins Island.
Islets
Five islets can be found here:
- Minmin Islet: This island contains numerous Snaptors. The sidequest Zokket's Schemes involves the player visiting this island.
- Shroonken Island: This islet has many trampoline-like flowers that can be used to climb to a small mountain.
- Dinkee Islet: This islet is a desert islet with a stack of rocks. If the player activates the A Vision in Pink side quest on Merrygo Island, Birdo can be found atop the rocks, and will protest as the Bros. break her rock stack. Once they destroy the entire stack, she will wait on the northwest edge of the island until spoken to, at which point the Bros. agree to take her to Merrygo Island where she speaks with her man. Otherwise, a Concordian man will be atop the rock pile, and will relocate to the east side where he gives an Ultra Mushroom. Meeger Islet has a similar layout, but with a fence and pipes connecting to other islets.
- Liil Islet: This islet has a few monsters (namely Hydro Seedles, Capnaps, and Drillbies).
- Teenitiny Islet: This area contains a Quicksand pool that can be traversed with the Bros. Ball move. After visiting Allsand Islet, Sharkbones can be found here as well.
The Great Lighthouse Island
The Color-Full Sea's Great Lighthouse has been barricaded. Due to its wall, it cannot be accessed until the Bros. assemble a rocket that IDLE piledrives into the wall. The Great Lighthouse contains guards that can be avoided by having Luigi wear a Barrel and distract them while Mario sneaks past. A barrel-shaped monster called Sharpcask can be found in the cellar. After it dies, Connie reactivates the Great Lighthouse, paving the way to the Brrrning Sea.
Behind the Scenes
The Color-Full sea's name comes from the verb "color" ("to apply colour") and the adjective "full" ("containing something, often to the brim") added together though separated with a hyphen as a pun on "colourful" ("full of colour").
